The base plate is small, thin layer attached to each nail with UV activated gel. The plate has a series of clips (2-3) that protrude from outwards to attach to the nail above. It's our hope to produce a single SKU that can be fit to all finger. If not possible we will produce individual sizes like nail tips and press ons.
Gel-sculpted (and liquid/powder) nails need to be backfilled every 2/3 weeks, which will be the same range for replacing backplates and putting the nail back on. However with a a baseplate with multiple attachment points, this could be extended a week or two.
